Domino’s Brazil shows off invention for steady pizza delivery

Pizza delivery has been transformed in the age of social media and online reviews. Every single error, bad delivery or ruined pizza is posted all over Twitter, Facebook, Yelp and a variety of other online locations. Domino’s, a company which has even used television commercials to apologize for sloppy deliveries, has created a device to ensure the perfect delivery.

Pretty brilliant, Domino’s Brazil. The device/contraption/holder keeps your pizza level even as the delivery vehicle speeds through the streets. The “Steady Pizza” as it’s being called is actually quite smart, but it looks pretty awkward for the delivery person to have to lug around.

Pizza consumers in Brazil will see these things flying around the streets in the near future, but there’s no word on whether Domino’s will expand the Steady Pizza to other areas. The device shown in the video doesn’t look like it’d fit in a car, so they’d have to come up with a smaller, more compact box to house all of that science.

It’s pretty remarkable that this device was only created because of social media. You’ve probably seen people post pictures of pizza which was ruined because it slid in its box. Domino’s has too and they’re rolling out a device to fix the problem. That’s awesome and worth commending, even if it’s never widely used in your area.
